Erogen review: what it actually is

Erogen is a role-based AI companion app. Its listing invites you to explore new frontiers with AI companions, and the pros users report describe a spread of role personalities across different contexts: relationship and narrative development, travel simulation, fantasy realms, interactive dialogue and character creation. One pro even mentions adapting it for contests. In practice that points to scenario-driven chat, where you choose a role or setting and talk your way through it. It suits people who want variety in personas and situations more than one deep, long-running relationship. The listed platform is Web. The listing text does not describe adult content, but a reported con flags possible inappropriate content. The TAAFT listing carries no release notes, so how often the product changes is not covered by the data we track (the TAAFT listing and Semrush).

Erogen is a niche name. Its listing has about 27,000 all-time views on There's An AI For That, the largest AI tool directory, and it gains only about 300 views a month there, roughly 1 percent of its all-time total. It ranks 73rd of 98 apps on this site by all-time listing views. The saves count is the surprise: 168 people bookmarked it, a large number next to its 12 ratings. Semrush estimates about 1,000 US searches a month for 'erogen', and about 20 more for the name plus review. For a buyer, this adds up to a small product with a small but real audience, one that people bookmark more than they rate. Directory views record visits to the listing page, not use of the app, and these numbers are low enough to swing on small changes.

Erogen holds 3.5 out of 5, but from only 12 ratings, so treat it as anecdote. Seven are five-star, about 58 percent, one is four-star and four are one-star, about 33 percent. Only one rating sits between the extremes, so opinion is split between people who like it and people who do not. The pros and cons clash in places. One pro lists relationship and narrative development while a con says limited narrative development, and a pro lists character creation while a con says limited character customization. The most concrete con is no conversation history. Others are no multi-language support, limited realism in dialogue, dependency on user-generated content and potential for offensive companions. These are user reports, not our findings, and we did not test the app.

The listing shows Free + from $5/mo. The pricing model is freemium, paid options start at $5 a month, and billing is monthly. The listing does not say what the free tier includes or what the paid plan adds, and it gives no refund policy. Neither is covered by the data we track (the TAAFT listing and Semrush), so read the terms on the Erogen site before paying. Because one reported con is no conversation history, ask before you pay whether a subscription changes that, since the listing does not say. Skip it on price if you want a stated refund promise, or if saved chats matter to you and cannot be confirmed in advance. The free tier is the sensible place to find out whether the scenarios hold your interest.

Real talk: what users say about Erogen

Extremely well-made. Constant updates keep it relevant with new features. The community is welcoming, friendly, helpful, and a conglomeration of sweethearts. The AI is creative and very unrestricted. Regular contests spark creativity within the users and also reward well-made bots, which always keeps the bot selection growing and of good quality. Of course, a couple of bots are not that well-made, but for every...

Easy to use, has a great variety of characters, it's a fairly easy to navigate site, also has a great discord community to discuss and create more characters with.

@Erogen is an extremely polished and feature rich experience. I've used a couple bots sites and @Erogen is the only one that stuck with me from the thousands of user made characters of all different varieties, the ability to retry messages or have multiple chats with a single character, to user personas for a customized and tailor fitted experience. Very accessible for users wanting a free experience with 75 free...

Great features. Retries, edits, speed... beautiful characters, many very interesting. Soothing UX, a lot of easy options to customize your experience... Unashamedly nsfw content that I highly appreciate... Overall my favorite chatbot website, by far.

Erogen FAQ

Is Erogen free?

There is a free tier. TAAFT shows Free + from $5/mo and labels the model freemium, so you can start without paying, with paid options from $5 a month, billed monthly. The listing does not say what the free tier includes, how many chats or characters it allows, or what the paid plan unlocks. That is not in our data. Open the Erogen site and try the free tier first, and look at whether the roles and settings you want are included before you decide to pay.

How much does Erogen cost, and is there a refund?

The only paid price on the listing is $5 a month, billed monthly, on top of a freemium free tier. No refund policy is listed, and cancellation steps are not in our data, so read the terms before you subscribe. With monthly billing, one month is the smallest test. Set a reminder for the renewal date and save your receipt. Since one reported con is that there is no conversation history, check whether that limit applies to paying users as well.

What can you do in Erogen?

Going by the listing and user reports, you chat with AI companions that take on different roles and sit in different contexts. Users list relationship and narrative development, travel simulation, fantasy realm exploration, interactive dialogue and character creation among the pros. The same users report limits too, including limited character customization, limited narrative development and limited realism in dialogue. The platform is Web. We did not test any of this, so the description comes from the TAAFT listing and what its users reported.

How do users rate Erogen?

Erogen is rated 3.5 out of 5 from 12 ratings on There's An AI For That. Seven are five-star, about 58 percent, and four are one-star, about 33 percent, with only a single rating in between. That sample is too small for a firm view, since one more rating shifts the average. The listing has 168 saves, many more than ratings. Praise centers on role variety; complaints include no conversation history, no multi-language support and limited dialogue realism. These come from TAAFT users, not from us.

Is Erogen safe?

There is no safety audit in the data we track. It shows a 3.5 out of 5 rating from 12 people and reported cons that include possible inappropriate content and potential for offensive companions, linked to dependency on user-generated content. Privacy practices, data retention, age checks and security are not in our data. Read Erogen's privacy policy and terms before you register, keep personal details out of chats, and keep it away from children. The tiny ratings base means this score proves little.

Does Erogen save my conversations?

A reported con says no conversation history, so users say chats are not kept for you to scroll back through. What that means for storage on the company's servers is a different question, and it is not in our data. Check Erogen's privacy policy for what it keeps and for how long, and check the account settings for any history or deletion options. If keeping past chats matters to you, test this on the free tier before you pay for anything.
