Sweetr review: what it actually is

Sweetr describes itself as "Premium NSFW AI companions with voice chat", so the pitch is explicit content delivered mostly by voice. Users list voice chat integration, rich character creation, advanced chatbot capabilities and a dynamic interface among the pros. The cons are technical for a companion app: it requires JavaScript, relies heavily on client-side programming, is "Not suitable for all environments", and "Lacks text-based communication option". The last of those matters most, because it says you are expected to talk and not type. Another con notes that the NSFW focus can limit uses and scenarios, and a further one says in-depth personalization can complicate use. No release notes are posted. The audience is adults who specifically want voice conversations with explicit companions and who use a modern browser with scripts enabled.

Sweetr sits last in the directory: 93rd of 98 apps on this site, which means every other app has more all-time listing views than its roughly 5,300 on There's An AI For That. Its listing gains about 207 views a month there, and 10 TAAFT users saved it. Semrush estimates about 320 US searches a month for "sweetr", which is more than the monthly listing growth, so a few hundred people look for it by name even though its directory page draws few views. For a buyer, that makes it a very small name. Last place on views does not make it a bad product, since views are only a measure of directory curiosity, but it does mean there is almost no independent discussion to check against.

Sweetr's rating is the weakest signal on its page: 2.1 out of 5 from 10 ratings. Two ratings are five-star, 1 is four-star, none are two or three stars, and 7 are one-star, so 70 percent of raters gave the lowest possible score. That is a clear negative signal, even from a small sample. The listing does not say what disappointed them, since the cons list technical and design limits and not specific faults. The listed pros read like a spec sheet, with items such as client-side programming and "Suitable for advanced users", so the listing itself frames it as a tool for confident users. The 2 five-star ratings show it did suit some people. The pros mention voice chat, character creation and a tiered subscription, but the cons call that tiered model restrictive, so the paid structure is one thing to check before you pay.

Sweetr's pricing is freemium, with paid options from $2.99 a month, billed monthly. That is a very low entry price, and the cons call the tiered subscription model restrictive, so check how limited the cheapest tier is. The listing gives no trial length and no refund policy, and it does not describe what each tier includes. A first month at $2.99 costs little, which is the one clear argument for trying it, but the listing gives no way to judge value beforehand. Because the cons also mention a JavaScript requirement, test it in your own browser on the free tier first and confirm that voice chat works on your device before subscribing. Sweetr is the wrong choice if you want to type to your companion, want a better-rated product, dislike JavaScript-heavy sites or expect a refund promise. It fits only a buyer who wants NSFW voice chat at the lowest possible price.

Real talk: what users say about Sweetr

The pictures are on the level of something you'd see 3 years ago. The girls there are named after weird categories like Social Justice Lawyer and Wine Master as opposed to just having real names. Wanting to give it a fair shake, I did strike up a conversation, and was met by stilted dialog on the level of GPT 3. Don't bother with this lazy attempt. Also, there's no option to delete your account.

@Sweetr feels too limited to stand out in the companion AI space. On the free plan, you only get 100 messages per week, which disappears quickly. The memory is minimal, holding on to just two messages at a time, so conversations lose continuity almost immediately. Responses are short, averaging only 10 - 30 words, which makes chats feel clipped and shallow. Voice calls exist, but they’re locked behind a $9.99 monthly...

Sweetr FAQ

Is Sweetr free?

Sweetr is freemium on TAAFT, and the paid plans start at $2.99 a month. The listing says nothing about what the free side contains. One con calls the tiered subscription model restrictive, so find out how narrow the free tier is. Another warns that Sweetr requires JavaScript and lacks a text-based option, so test whether voice chat works on your device before you pay anything. Sweetr ranks last of 98 on this site by listing views, so there is little outside commentary on the free tier.

How much does Sweetr cost?

Sweetr starts at $2.99 a month with monthly billing, and the listing shows no other price. Users call the tiered subscription model restrictive, so the cheapest tier is the one to scrutinize. Annual pricing, higher tiers and refund terms are not listed, and neither is what each tier contains. The low price is the app's one clear strength on paper; the pricing page tells you what it buys. Billing repeats every month, so cancel before the second charge if the first month disappoints.

Does Sweetr have text chat or only voice?

The listed pros include voice chat integration, and one con says Sweetr "Lacks text-based communication option". Read together, they point to speaking rather than typing, but the listing does not confirm how it works in practice. The description is "Premium NSFW AI companions with voice chat". If typing matters to you, check the app's own site before paying. Whether text chat exists at all is not covered by the data we track (the TAAFT listing and Semrush), and we have not tested the app.

Sweetr review: what do users rate it?

Sweetr's TAAFT rating is 2.1 out of 5 from 10 ratings, and seven of those are one-star. Two are five-star and one is four-star. Pros cover voice chat, character creation and advanced chatbot capabilities. Cons cover a JavaScript requirement, client-side programming, a restrictive tiered subscription and the lack of a text option. Ten votes is a small sample, but a 70 percent one-star share is hard to read as anything but a warning. Saves are just 10, so the listing has also seen little bookmarking.

Can I cancel Sweetr or get a refund?

Billing is monthly and the listing gives no refund policy. Cancellation steps, access after you stop paying and refund requests are not in our data. With a $2.99 entry price the money at risk is small, so a one-month trial of the paid tier is a reasonable test, provided you have checked in the free tier that voice chat works on your device. Note the sign-up date, since billing repeats monthly.

What are the best Sweetr alternatives?

Sweetr's last-place rank, 2.1 rating and 7 one-star votes out of 10 are the case for looking around. A substitute should offer text chat, avoid a JavaScript dependency if that matters to you, and state a refund policy. Check the tiers too, since users call Sweetr's restrictive. If voice is your priority, look for an app that describes its voice features in detail. Price is the main reason to stay: $2.99 a month is the entry cost.
